From The Pastor

This weekend we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. It marks the end of the liturgical year. The scripture readings this past year have lead us to today’s Gospel passage from Matthew. On this final Sunday of Ordinary Time, Jesus tells us just how our activities will be judged when we finally meet Him face to face. We will all be judged on how we have treated one another with regard to respect, dignity and forgiveness.

On Thursday we celebrate Thanksgiving. The opening line from the reading of Saint Paul says, “I continually thank my God for you.” The word “continually” suggest that thanksgiving should be our constant attitude toward God. When we look around at our world today, we have so much to be grateful for.

Please join our parish family at the 9:00 a.m. Mass Thanksgiving Day. Together we will thank God for our many gifts and blessings.
